In January 2011, Prof. Schanze, Editor-in-chief of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, visited HIT. He gave talks on "Solar Energy Conversion in Polymer and Molecular Photovoltaics: Overview and Research Highlights", ""Authoring and Reviewing Scientific Papers: An Editor's Perspective", and "Conjugated Polyelectrolytes: Fundamentals and Applications to Biosensors". Dr. Ping Xu gave a talk on "Highly Sensitive SERS Substrates Based on Conducting Polymers".
